After trying well known very expensive brands of Argan oils a few years back for my long, thick, very fluffy and prone to frizz hair, I wasnt impressed they did nothing for my hair except made it feel worse, so I’ve struggled to understand the hype surrounding such brands. After literally throwing them (and the money spent) away, I used coconut oil for a while, supermarket brought, no frills stuff that did the job.Now my hair is very long and has a bleach balaayage I wanted to find something that worked even better to protect the condition and I really found it with this. My hair feels the best it ever has!I apply after washing, just mid lengths to ends and let dry naturally. I have no frizz or fluff, it’s shiny, tangle free, controlled yet still feels really thick and not weighed down at all. You only need a small about and the applicator in the bottle really helps.I use once a week as a treatment by applying to dry hair for 8 hours (overnight usually or a day when I’m not doing much) then wash out and style as usual, still using a small amount of damp hair. This is a must for long hair or if you are trying to grow it.I’ve never used oils on my face, I tried with coconut oil but it did break me out, after reading on the brands website it can be used like a serum and after running out of my usual expensive, well known brand of serum, I thought I’d try it. Now, I use everyday after cleansing and before moisturising and my skin looks plumper and actually glows. I’m so happy with this product in every way.The one thing I would say is it doesn’t smell that amazing (imagine a tree bark smell) but because of that I know it’s 100% natural and safe to use on my face and hair. The high end well known ones do smell great but that just goes to show fragrance has been added to it and god knows what else!I will always use this now and somehow I almost feel like I’m not paying enough for how good it is but thats because we are conditioned to think if something is amazing and actually works it has to be expensive - definitely not the case with this. Amazing value for money, huge big bottle and now my holy grail for my skin and hair!
I love this Argan oil. We use to get some from Morroco where we were taught how to decifer fake Argan oil from real. And am telling you this is the real stuff. Its a go to for my night time skin routine and any strange skin issues that pop up. I had a reaction from improperly using african black soap by keeping it on for too long( some people's skin can handle leaving it on and some can't, i am an African girl and my skin said "beech i think the hell not") It left a strange dry area around my mouth which baffled me because i don't have dry skin at all. Anyway nothing was fixing it, one night before bed i combined this Argan oil and vitamin E oil on my face. Next morning i kid you not it was completely gone, my family was so surprised.I love this Argan oil and will be purchasing again as I've just run out.The bottle lasted me 7 months for regular use on face and sometimes body, along with occasional use by other members of my familyThis is just an extension for anyone who maybe curious about African black soap. Its amazing stuff, I suggest get the one that is beige and has bits in it. I got mine from Ghana, where it's originally made. If like me your skin reacts to leaving it on, then put it on and rinse straight away. Never put the product directly on your face. It is to be applied in a wet palm then to your face. Learnt all this from my African mum.It does wonders if properly used, my skin is becoming even toned.
I've only been using this for about a week. I initially bought it for my hair as I'd run out of what I'd been using - a hugely expensive oil for a tiny, though long lasting, amount. I was surprised to read this product says to put it on your hair before shampooing, not afterwards. I did use it afterwards as well as before shampooing and it was fine, though I don't think it makes my hair quite as shiny - but good enough.I decided to try it on my face as I've never used an oil on my face before. I wouldn't have done this if I hadn't read the reviews which said it doesn't block your pores. I put it on before going to bed and probably used a bit too much as it felt a bit greasy (I am ancient and have very dry skin so I was generous with it). However in the morning my skin was on a par with using cream so that was really good. I used my normal cream in the morning which is also hugely expensive, but my daughter buys it for Christmas for me. I think, at the moment, I am going to continue using the oil at night and the cream in the morning which will make the cream last twice as long. If I'm not going out I might try using it in the morning too to see how I get on with it. So far I'd recommend it and I'm keeping my fingers crossed I feel the same in a few months time.
